The Latest

The latest name sign that I made was for my good friend, Chelsea.  She is going to be a 1st grade
teacher in Garland this year, so of course she needs a cute name sign
for her classroom!  I'm so excited for you, Chelsea!  :)

Texas Rangers

This past Friday, Trent and I were able to spend some time with our friends, Ryan and Allison, at a Texas Rangers game.  Ryan did a great job getting seats that were behind home plate, in the shade, and up where there was a nice breeze!!  Thank goodness for those seats, because it was HOT!!!  :)  The game was great, and they beat the Blue Jays 12-2!!  :)  Thanks for inviting us to the game, Ryan and Allison!!!!  :)

Cruise

Last Thursday we took a "girls" trip---we went on a cruise to Cozumel!!!  :)  It was a 4 day cruise that left from Galveston, then we had a day at sea, a day in Cozumel, another day at sea, and then back to Galveston.  We had such a good time together.   The weather was perfect, the water was beautiful, and the company was wonderful!  We ate so much food, and soaked up a lot of sun!  I have posted a lot of pictures----if you're like me, you would rather see the pictures, than read, anyway!  :)

Dinner

Each night our waiters would dance/sing a song, once everyone
had been served their meal.  Gilbert, our waiter, asked
Kristen to dance with him tonight!  She was such a good sport!!
Hanging out after dinner.  This is the Grand Foyer of the ship.
Day 3--Cozumel:
Instead of shopping in Cozumel, like most people did, we decided to go to a beach that was on an island near Cozumel.  It was about a 45 minute boat ride to the island, then we stayed there for about 3 hours, and came back.  The water and beach was gorgeous!!!

Schlitterbahn!

This past weekend Trent and I got to see our "long lost" friends, Derrick and Cherise.  It had been so long since we saw them that none of us could figure out exactly when we had seen them last.  I think we finally decided it had been at least a year!!  We were so glad that they actually had a free weekend, as they are very busy going on hunting trips and editing film for their upcoming show, Ranch Hand Horizons, on the Sportsman Channel.  Their first show should be airing in December of this year!  We are so excited for them and can't wait to watch it!!

Our weekend began by eating delicious cupcakes at the Gruene Flour Cupcakery in Gruene, Texas.  The cupcakes were DELICIOUS!!  We ate dinner at the Gristmill restaurant on the river.  It was such a fun place to eat.  If you are ever in the New Braunfels area, I recommend eating here!   After dinner we walked around the cute shops nearby, and we actually ran into one of Trent's baseball players from Granbury!!  Small world!!

Notice the flash on the iPhone Trent has in his hand.....
This is what he took a picture of!

Cherise found some cute funny shades!

The next morning we got up and enjoyed the day at Schlitterbahn.  It had been many, many years since Trent and I had been there...and it was still just as fun as it was back then.  It has definitely grown in size from what we remember!  Thanks Derrick and Cherise for planning the trip and spending time with us!!  We had a blast!!!  :)

Shipping Cattle

Trent and I headed to Bluegrove for the week, as the annual cattle shipping was on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Each year, Trent's dad sells a truck load of calves.  This event includes early mornings of gathering the cattle, sorting the heifers and steers, weighing them to be sure they meet the weight requirement, and then loading them on a big cattle truck to be shipped off.   This year it was a 2 day process.  Things went pretty smoothly, and another year of cattle shipping was complete at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.  Here are several pictures so that you can see what all goes on. :)
