My New Hobby!

I have always enjoyed crafting.  Many of you know that I like to make things for friends as gifts, or even for my house.  I am always trying to figure out something new that I can do.

For about a year now, I have been thinking about making a purchase that would add to my crafting interest.  I kept going back and forth with whether or not to pursue this particular "interest".  Every time I would get close to making a decision to "go for it" I would alway talk myself out of it because of the cost of this item.  I also was unsure of what kind to get---if I chose to make the purchase---and really didn't know much about how this "interest" worked.  However, the first week of June I made a decision.  I just broke down and decided to "go for it".  Trent also helped in the convincing, and because he thought it could potentially be a great thing, or future business as he likes to call it,  we bought it.

I would like to announce that I am the proud new owner of an embroidery machine!!  And I LOVE it!!!  Ever since it came in, I have spent most of my time at home learning, figuring out, and embroidering.  :)  Several of our friends have been lucky sweet enough to let me practice making onesies, burp cloths, and shirts for their kids.  Trent and I have so many friends and family members in our lives that are having children, that I can't wait to make things for them as soon as we learn genders and names.

If you, or anyone you know, would like things personalized I would love to do it for you!  Onesies, burp cloths, shirts, bags/totes, towels, you name it!  Here are some of the things I have created so far!  Let me know what you think!!  :)

This was pre-embroidery machine, but I like them.

Now that school is out has been out for a month, I am returning to my blog!  I can't believe that it has been so long since my last post!  So many things have happened since March.  We finished baseball season (we played at Baylor's baseball field for playoffs), Kristen and Jason got married, took a trip to College Station to see friends and Aggie baseball, welcomed a friend's new baby girl, and my fifth year of teaching was completed----just to name a few!   Here are some pictures I have taken to give you a recap of what we have been up to the past few months.  Enjoy!
